Barely a few days have passed since the last CRER promotional event by BicicletTiAmo! and we're already back in the saddle. This time, the Giro D'Italia will open its doors, hosting the area of the Emilia-Romagna Regional Committee and the Reggio-Emilia Provincial Committee dedicated to bicycle promotion.
The event will take place today in Castelnovo ne' Monti at Piazza Peretti and will be an opportunity to encourage children to use bicycles and practice youth cycling. Provincial Committee President Marco Guidetti will lead the proceedings, in complete harmony with CRER FCI President Pierluigi De Vitis, creator of the BicicletTiAmo! promotional project.
"Another opportunity to promote youth cycling, with thanks to those who continue to provide these possibilities. These are important moments on the margins of major events, where thousands of enthusiasts gather with their families and children. One of the goals of the Regional Committee," says President De Vitis, "is to introduce organized cycling for children to people around major cycling events, as we increasingly notice that our small racing bicycles used in promotional days are seen as mysterious objects, sparking curiosity and interest. This reinforces our desire to make youth cycling known in all its disciplines, with the understood purpose of promoting the work of our societies across the regional territory."
It will indeed be an unforgettable moment for athletes from Reggio societies such as SC Cavriago, Asd Cooperatori, SC Reggiolese, Ciclistica 2000, and L'Asd Val D'Enza Aktiv team, who will ride the Giro d'Italia finish straight, concluding their ride right at the finish line while waiting to watch the big national and international cycling stars. It will also be an opportunity for children to observe youth cycling, watch youth teams, and receive information at the dedicated CRER area. "It's a great opportunity for Reggio cycling, thanks also to the involvement of the Castelnovo ne' Monti municipality. We believe organizing events alongside the Giro can be an important opportunity to encourage young people to practice cycling," says Provincial Committee President Marco Guidetti.
