In this moment of deep reflection following the passing of Pope Francis, Asd Emozione has chosen to proceed regularly on Saturday, April 26th, in compliance with the institutional provisions issued for the national mourning, with the fifth edition of the Trofeo Emozione.
The event program will be completely redesigned: all public celebrations in Piazza XX Settembre will be canceled, parallel recreational activities like "Play Bikes for Kids" suspended, support initiatives for the Giglio Association postponed, and the awards ceremony will be sober to honor this particular moment with great respect.
Before the start, all athletes will remove their helmets during the 3 minutes of silence to be observed at the starting line; an additional moment of silence and reflection will be observed during the awards ceremony, closing a sporting day that will be experienced with dignity and respect.
"In these hours we have experienced a great mourning that has involved all of us; despite this, we have chosen to regularly hold the Trofeo Emozione to provide an additional signal of respect, unity, memory, and awareness through youth sports" observed Asd Emozione President, Adolfo Sacchetto. "Our organizational machine has been working for months to set up this day that was meant to be a celebration of solidarity and sport: we have involved companies, institutions, and teams from all over the world. Even just suspending and postponing this event, just days before the start, was unthinkable because it would have caused too great a loss for the entire cycling world. We are convinced of the high value of this event, especially in such a particular moment, to send a signal of unity among peoples and respect, values that have always been part of our sport".
THE 2025 ROUTE - As tradition dictates, in this 2025, one of the most interesting aspects is undoubtedly the route developed by Adolfo Sacchetto, Andrea Favot, and their collaborators: after the unofficial start from Vivaro, the group will face a transfer section to reach the kilometer zero in Arba. From here, the group will tackle a first undulating part of the race characterized, after 40 kilometers, by the Monte di Ragogna climb: 3 quite challenging kilometers that will have the task of determining a first screening of the large peloton at the start. After the quick descent, they will cross Pinzano al Tagliamento and Istrago: from here it will be all flat until the finish line in Pordenone, but to make the finale even more exciting and spectacular, there will be six gravel sections. The first, after 63.4 kilometers of racing, with a length of 1,600 meters, will be the "Mosaico White Road". Following, at kilometer 72.1 will be the "Wine White Road" (3.4 km), at kilometer 91.5 the "Risorgive White Road" (2.2 km), at kilometer 99.9 the "Serenissima White Road" (0.9 km), at kilometer 111 the "Centuriato White Road" (0.6 km) and, finally, about fifteen kilometers from the finish, the "Mobile White Road" (1.8 km). The last kilometers will then be very fast to lead the best of the day directly to the finish line located, as mentioned, in Piazza XX Settembre in Pordenone.
