
The Tour de France turns its back on the Pyrenees after a three-day period that revealed many things: stage number 15 is the Muret-Carcassonne, 169.3 km long. Traditionally, the turreted city is reserved for sprinters, but this year the Tour de France organizers have decided to insert climbs and challenges in every stage.

For a relatively short stage, there are 2,400 meters to tackle, which means it's far from simple: in particular, passing through Revel, riders will encounter the Côte de Saint-Ferréol, then the Côte de Sorèze and finally the Pas du Sant: with 50 km to go, its 2.9 km at 10% can truly be the moment to thin out the group and launch the winning attack if one wants to avoid a sprint.
