STATEMENTS

Lucio Petacchi, Director of the Lunigiana Tour: "Presenting the 49th Lunigiana Tour at the Chamber of Deputies represents an important recognition of the work we carry forward with passion and commitment year after year. It's a symbolic stage that officially kicks off a historic edition, which for the first time will start from Genoa and conclude at Terre di Luni. A route that connects Liguria and Tuscany, territories always linked to our Tour. We are particularly proud to continue the Lunigiana Women's Tour, now in its fourth edition, a tangible sign of our commitment to investing concretely in youth cycling in all its expressions. I thank the institutions, stage committees, volunteers, and partners who make all this possible. Together, we continue to grow the Race of Future Champions, promoting the values of sport, inclusion, and the promotion of our extraordinary territory".

Alessandro Amorese, Brothers of Italy deputy and Sports and Culture Commission group leader: "We are extremely proud that the Lunigiana Tour crosses the territories of Massa and La Spezia because it is a sporting event of great value. This is because, beyond its sporting significance, the international event connects the centrality of sports for young people and the theme of volunteering and social issues, specifically the CardioSecurity Italia project".

Maria Grazia Frijia, Brothers of Italy deputy and Vice Mayor of La Spezia: "We are proud to present the 49th edition of the Lunigiana Tour and, for the fourth consecutive year, the Lunigiana Women's Tour junior category, a historic and valuable event for our territory and youth cycling. Over the years, this race has been a true talent forge, with many riders now competing in the world's most important competitions. It is a sporting and traditional event that unites the provinces of Tuscany and Liguria, the heart of the Apuan Ligurian Area that will be celebrated in the race with a dedicated jersey, bringing enthusiasm, tourism, and enhancement of our splendid territory. As institutions, we want to continue supporting it strongly because it represents not only an excellent sporting showcase but also an economic and cultural driving force for the entire community".

Simona Ferro, Liguria Regional Councilor for Sports and Youth Policies: "To celebrate Liguria as the 'European Region of Sport 2025', the Lunigiana Tour will start from Genoa for the first time in its history, embracing the Ligurian territory from the capital to its easternmost point. The 'Tour' is a true laboratory of young talents: some of the best cyclists of all time, like Vincenzo Nibali and Tadej Pogacar, have passed through here. Seeing athletes depart from Genoa towards Lunigiana will be a unique emotion that will make the 2025 edition unforgettable. I want to thank the organizers of the Casano company for their collaboration and great commitment, who immediately showed their availability to introduce this historic novelty on such a significant year for Ligurian sports".

The stage locations for both races were also revealed, with the altimetries to be officially confirmed during the upcoming presentation in a few weeks.
