Matilde Rossignoli (BTF Burzoni VO2 Team Pink) is the new Italian champion in the junior women's category. The daughter of former professional Francesco (Carrera Inoxpran, Carrera Vagabond, Fagor, Jolly 88, winner of a team time trial at the Tour of Switzerland and track national champion) broke away 1200 meters from the finish in Trieste Porto Vecchio and conquered the title in solo, ahead of a group of about fifteen athletes led by cyclocross Italian champion Elisa Ferri (Zhiraf Guerciotti) in front of another art daughter Giorgia Pellizotti (Trinx Factory Team).
Azzurra Ballan and Melania Minichino were protagonists in the final phases, then caught by Alessio Orsi just over 5 kilometers from the finish. The trio was brought back 3700 meters from the conclusion under the push of Biesse Carrera Premac and BTF Burzoni VO2 Pink. Giulia Erja, Elisa Bianchi, and Matilde Rossignoli were very active in the finale, with Rossignoli skillfully seizing the right moment to break away towards victory. Rossignoli succeeds Giada Silo in the honor roll.
