This is a date destined to leave its mark: 25/05/2025. The third Sunday of the 108th Giro d'Italia, which will start from Albania on May 9th, will also be the day of the Wall of Ca' del Poggio, where the Pink Race will pass during the fifteenth stage, the Fiume Veneto-Asiago. But that's not all: on July 9th, the Giro Women will also pass through the Wall, with the spotlight on the fourth stage that will conclude in Pianezze.

The double news became official last night, with the presentation in Rome of the 2025 edition of the two major pink cycling events. The Wall will thus be the passage site for both events organized by RCS. "A choice strongly desired by the Veneto Region and in particular by President Zaia, who sees the Wall as a driving element in promoting the territory, the symbol of a slow, sustainable tourism that easily identifies with the bicycle and which, last autumn, also reopened to running with the passage of the second edition of the Ca' del Poggio Run. We are not surprised by this return and, indeed, we are already working to set up, this year too, the great pink festival that on May 25th, thanks to the involvement of the world of associations and volunteering, will help make the Giro's passage unique and unforgettable," comments Alberto Stocco of Ca' del Poggio.

For the Pink Race, this will be the eighth passage on the Wall of Ca' del Poggio, after the applause received in the 2009, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2020, 2022, and 2024 editions. The Giro d'Italia Women will return to the Wall of Ca' del Poggio for the third time, after the passages in 2014 and 2017. Considering also the two passages of the Giro d'Italia under 23 (2018 and 2021), the Wall of Ca' del Poggio will thus have hosted the national cycling grand tours 13 times.

Exactly one year after the last time (it was May 25th, 2024) the great pink festival among the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is ready to be proposed again with what can now, rightfully, be defined as one of the most classic climbs of the Giro d'Italia.

The Wall of Ca' del Poggio - the only climb officially certified by the Italian Cycling Federation, twinned since 2016 with the Wall of Grammont and since 2018 with the Mur-de-Bretagne, which in 2025 will host the finish of a Tour de France stage - has unique characteristics. It develops for just over a kilometer on a fully paved road, with an average gradient of 15% and peaks of 19%. It's a decisive, almost violent climb that in 2025 is also a candidate to be among the most spectacular and anticipated moments of the Giro d'Italia.

An authentic vertical spectacle (even though we are only a little over 200 meters above sea level) that promises to recreate the magic of the twenty thousand and more fans who in recent editions - last year, in the rain - accompanied the passage of the riders among the vineyards.

These will be intense days for what is considered the most cycling-oriented territory in Italy: Saturday, May 24th, the departure from Treviso of the stage that will conclude in Nova Gorica, Sunday, May 25th, the Fiume Veneto-Asiago with the passage on the Wall, Monday, May 26th a rest day and finally, Tuesday, May 27th, the restart from Piazzola sul Brenta with a stage that cannot help but remember the small, great Sammy Basso, originally from nearby Tezze sul Brenta, who last year on the Wall of Ca' del Poggio witnessed the passage of the Giro.
