SERVADEI VELODROME, TRACK SEASON 2024 PROTAGONISTS AWARDED
AWARDS | 02/12/2024 | 07:55 On Saturday, November 30th, at the Servadei Velodrome, the highly anticipated awards ceremony for the 2024 track cycling season took place, an event that celebrated the commitment and success of athletes and teams who distinguished themselves throughout the year. The awards ceremony saw the participation of prominent figures from cycling and local sports. The awards were presented by Silvio Martinello, an icon of Italian cycling, 5-time world champion and Olympic champion, Alessandro Spada, president of the Emilia Romagna regional committee, Milva Rossi, vice president of CONI Emilia Romagna, who brought her passionate contribution to the ceremony, and representatives of the Forlì-Cesena Provincial Committee, with the new president Graziano Bertozzi and the president of the "newly formed" Rimini provincial committee Daniele Bertozzi. They were joined by two professional athletes, Matteo Malucelli and Carlotta Cipressi, who grew up at Servadei, and whose presence underscored the connection between the velodrome and top-level cycling protagonists. We also thank Marco Casartelli, son of the unforgettable champion Fabio, for participating in the season's recognition ceremony. The day's program featured moments of great participation, including the presentation of awards to the season's best athletes, who distinguished themselves through talent, dedication, and extraordinary results in track competitions. Hosting the event was Fausto Tardozzi, president of the ASD Romagnole Cycling Society, who welcomed and thanked all present: "This afternoon was dedicated to everyone who makes our sport possible: athletes, coaches, families, volunteers, and the public. The 2024 season was extraordinary, and these awards are a just tribute to those who gave their all for track cycling." The day concluded in a festive and convivial atmosphere, with all present united by a common passion for sports. The Servadei Velodrome thus confirms itself as a reference point for Italian track cycling, ready to write new pages of history in 2025.
