5: IN HISTORY
Yesterday Tadej Pogacar reached the pinnacle of Tour de France history. Imperious with five stage victories (for a total of twenty-six), the Slovenian won his fifth Grande Boucle of his career, following the editions of 2020, 2021, 2024 and 2025. The two-time world champion joins four other five-time Tour winners: Frenchman Jacques Anquetil (1957, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964), Belgian Eddy Merckx (1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1974), Frenchman Bernard Hinault (1978, 1979, 1981, 1982, 1985) and Spaniard Miguel Indurain (1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995). With this new title, Tadej Pogacar is also the youngest to achieve this feat, at the age of 27 years, 10 months and 5 days, taking the record from the "Cannibal" Eddy Merckx, who won his last Grande Boucle at 29 years, 1 month and 4 days, fifty-two years ago.

7: PODIUM GENTLEMAN
Thanks to his fifth victory, Tadej Pogacar has stood on the final podium of the Tour de France for the seventh consecutive edition, an absolute record. Second in 2022 and 2023 but especially on the top step in 2020, 2021, 2024, 2025 and 2026, the Slovenian is ahead of Miguel Indurain, five-time winner from 1991 to 1995, and Jonas Vingegaard, who was also on the podium for five consecutive Tours (winner in 2022 and 2023, second in 2021, 2024 and 2025). Tadej Pogacar, from third place at the 2019 Vuelta, has also stood on the podium in his first nine Grand Tours contested (winner of the 2024 Giro). He surpassed Jacques Anquetil, Raymond Poulidor and Bernard Hinault, who had stopped at six consecutive podiums.

71: THE YELLOW IS MINE
With his fifth overall victory, Tadej Pogacar has also claimed the 71st yellow jersey of his career. Wearing the prestigious tunic for sixteen days this year, the Slovenian is thus getting closer to Bernard Hinault (79 yellow jerseys), but is still far from Eddy Merckx, holder of the record with 111 yellow jerseys. Since his first participation in 2020, Pogacar has accumulated 189 different distinctive jerseys at the Tour. In addition to the yellow, he has won three green jerseys, forty polka dot jerseys and seventy-five white jerseys.

4: VAN DER POEL MAKES FOUR
Mathieu Van der Poel then held off the return of the sprinters on the Champs-Élysées after an attack launched alongside Tadej Pogacar from Butte Montmartre, completing the final kilometer at an average speed of 52.9 km/h. The Dutchman thus won his fourth stage of his Tour de France career on Sunday, the second this year after the one at Ussel (ninth stage). By winning in Paris, Mathieu Van der Poel did better than his father, Adrie, who finished second in 1982, and matched his grandfather Raymond Poulidor, who won in the capital in 1967 at the end of a time trial. The former world champion is also the sixth Dutchman to win in Paris, following in the footsteps of Jan Janssen (1968), Gerben Karstens (1976), Gerrie Knetemann (1978), Jean-Paul van Poppel (1988) and Dylan Groenewegen (2017).

2021: ALPECIN - PREMIER TECH PARIS DOUBLE
Behind Mathieu Van der Poel, Jasper Philipsen won the bunch sprint on the Champs-Élysées, allowing his Alpecin – Premier Tech team to achieve a one-two finish. The Belgian team had not achieved such a result since the Pontivy stage in 2021, when Tim Merlier won ahead of... Jasper Philipsen. Another team, UAE Emirates-XRG, signed two one-two finishes this year: on the second day, in Barcelona, Isaac Del Toro won ahead of Tadej Pogacar, before the same two protagonists reversed their positions at Markstein on the fourteenth stage.

6: PEDERSEN KING OF POINTS
Omnipresent in the intermediate sprints, Mads Pedersen fought both in breakaways and in bunch sprints to win his first green jersey of his Tour de France career on Sunday, the first ever for Denmark. Already winner of the points classification at the Vuelta (2022 and 2025) and the Giro (2025), the former world champion became the sixth rider to win the points classification in all three Grand Tours. Before him, only Djamolidine Abdoujaparov, Mark Cavendish, Laurent Jalabert, Eddy Merckx and Alessandro Petacchi had achieved this feat.

18: CARAPAZ DOUBLES UP
On the attack in the last three alpine stages, Richard Carapaz managed to dethrone Tadej Pogacar by winning the polka dot jersey for best climber. This is the second time in his career, after the 2024 edition concluded with a similar scenario. The Ecuadorian is therefore the eighteenth rider in Tour history to win the mountain classification at least twice, and the ninth to do so since the introduction of the polka dot jersey in 1975.

19: PRECOCITY RECORD
Consistent during his first Tour de France, Paul Seixas finished in 4th place, 11'56" behind yellow jersey Tadej Pogacar. The French climber is therefore, at 19 years, 10 months and 2 days, the youngest in history to finish in the top 5 of the Grande Boucle: he surpassed Henri Cornet, who won the event in 1904, at the age of 19 years, 11 months and 19 days.

2: ALCALA'S SUCCESSOR
The third Mexican in history to take part in the Tour de France, Isaac del Toro managed, thanks to his consistency over these three weeks, to win the white jersey for best young rider by finishing third in the general classification. He succeeds his compatriot Raul Alcala, who also won this jersey in 1987... and it was July 26th.

302: DRY SPELL FOR THE "FOUNDING FATHERS"
France, Italy and Spain, the three countries that invented and hosted the Grand Tours, did not win a single stage in this Tour de France, the 302nd Grand Tour in history since 1903 (113 Tours, 109 Giros, 80 Vueltas). This 2026 Grande Boucle marks the very first Grand Tour without a single victory for the "founding fathers". At the Tour, France has won stages every year, except for 1926, 1999 and now 2026. The Italians won two stages last year thanks to Jonathan Milan, but have not finished in the top 3 of any stage this year. As for the Spanish, they have not won since July 15, 2023, when Carlos Rodriguez won at Morzine.
