Yet another cyclist loses his life while riding after being struck by a car: this time it happened in Sovico, not far from Monza.
This morning, around seven o'clock, a man in his fifties was traveling along Provincial Road number 6, which connects the provincial capital to Carate Brianza, when he was hit by a 48-year-old man driving a Toyota.
Promptly alerted, rescue workers and law enforcement arrived at the scene of the accident and the cyclist, who appeared to be in critical condition immediately, was transported to San Gerardo Hospital in Monza where he died shortly after his arrival.
As reported by colleagues at MBnews, the competent authorities are working to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident. From initial indications, it appears that the car driver – who is also now hospitalized at the Monza hospital – lost control of the vehicle which, overturning, triggered the pile-up that proved fatal for the cyclist.
