Solo victory for Mexican Edgar David Cadena in the third stage of the Vuelta Asturias which concluded in Vegadeo. Since this year with the German Team Storck formation, the 26-year-old native of Mexico City crossed the finish line with a 26" advantage over the chasing group controlled in the sprint by Filippo Baroncini of UAE Team Emirates - XRG. Third place of the day for 20-year-old Jermaine Zemke, registered with the REMBE | rad-net team. In the general classification Nairo Quintana maintains the lead and tomorrow will start the final stage with a 30" advantage over Adrià

The 157-kilometer stage was enlivened by Carlos García Pierna (Burgos Burpellet BH) who escaped solo on the slopes of Alto de Orouso. The 26-year-old Iberian led the race for several kilometers managing to remain in command despite a crash on a downhill section. Then in pursuit of him came Edgar David Cadena from the group who caught up with and passed him; 21 kilometers from the finish García Pierna was also caught by the main group and thus his fine attack came to an end.

Edgar Cadena, who in his career has also worn the jerseys of Bardiani and Petrolike and is currently sixth in the general classification of the Spanish race, put all his determination on the pedals managing to achieve a maximum advantage of 50" over the group of the classification riders in which Filippo Baroncini was also very active.

The breakaway rider passed through the red triangle of the final kilometer with a 30" advantage and maintained the necessary lead to arrive at the finish line with arms raised to celebrate his third career victory.
