The season has just begun, but in the Visma Lease a Bike house, they are actively working to build the team's future. The Dutch website WielerFlits anticipates that Vingegaard and Van Aert's formation is searching for a new primary sponsor for the next season.
Visma, the Norwegian software company, will take a step back from the team: it will remain in the sponsor pool but no longer as the primary name, also because it will redirect its strategies towards new corporate and marketing choices. And the team finds itself facing a new reality, namely that of sponsors becoming team owners, as in the case of UAE Emirates XRG, Lidl-Trek, Red Bull BORA-hansgrohe, and Decathlon CMA CGM.
Make no mistake, the team's future is not at risk, being able to count on giants like Visma, PON, and Rabobank, but general manager Richard Plugge is committed to finding a sponsor willing to invest a substantial sum that will allow the Dutch formation to remain at the top of the world cycling landscape.
