The Equipo Kern Pharma shows confidence in Ivan Ramiro Sosa and, recognizing the severity of the injury the Colombian suffered last summer and his consequent inability to perform at his best, offers a new chance to the former INEOS Grenadiers and Movistar rider by signing him for another season.

The twenty-eight-year-old from Pasca, having concluded a year with zero victories and only one podium (3rd place at the Mercan'Tour Classic Alpes-Maritimes) in 41 days of racing, will have another opportunity to demonstrate his true value and forget the shadows of a 2025 conditioned by an iliac artery endofibrosis that first forced him to undergo surgery (on July 23rd) and then commit to a long rehabilitation in the following months.

"I am very happy to continue another year with Equipo Kern Pharma. I want to thank Juanjo (Juan José Oroz, team general manager) Iosune (Murillo, performance manager) and the entire team for the great support they have given me in these months. Fortunately, as I returned to training, I had very good sensations and I can't wait to race again" Sosa declared through the team's official channels, clearly hoping that the worst is behind him.

"In this 2026, I hope to reach a good level and return to winning because that's what I love most and what motivates me to do my best every day" stated the winner of the 2022 Tour de Langkawi, the last race he won before three entire years of drought that he earnestly hopes to interrupt in the coming months.
