2025 has been a truly extraordinary year for the Cycling Society F.W.R. BARON, particularly remarkable for the success in organizing the UCI Nations' Cup, the prestigious international event for junior riders, and the National Grand Prix F.W.R. BARON, also known as Superprestige. This was revealed by the creator, Rino Baron, together with his family, consisting of his wife Fiorella and sons Wais and Ronny, who reviewed the just-concluded year and laid the groundwork for the future.
The club's directors, founded in 1984 and preparing to celebrate its 42nd year of activity in 2026, stated they were highly honored by the compliments received during the organization of the Nations' Cup and the 13th National Grand Prix F.W.R. BARON. "These recognitions have deeply honored us," Rino Baron enthusiastically recounted, "and came from UCI President David Lappartient, European Cycling Union's Enrico Della Casa, Italian Federation's Cordiano Dagnoni, former Veneto Region President Luca Zaia, and Veneto CONI's Dino Ponchio. Events that captured the attention of many athletes and their sports directors, pushing us to look to the future with great commitment and enthusiasm."
Baron, who extended holiday wishes and hopes for a healthy and successful 2026 to everyone, then announced that starting next year, the 14th Grand Prix will have a new sponsor thanks to the availability of Lumar Colors, the Borgoricco (Padova) company that handles frame painting for the most important WorldTour and Professional cycling teams in the world.
The organization's leader revealed that the Nations' Cup, which saw the Italian national team rank first in the nations' classification in 2025, will be held from June 6th to 7th next year and will consist of three stages. The first will take place on Saturday, June 6th in Pieve del Grappa, on a circuit, starting from Fonte and finishing in Pieve, involving San Zenone degli Ezzelini. The second, scheduled for Sunday, July 7th and called "A", will be an individual time trial with start and finish at Lago le Bandie, dedicated to the unforgettable and mythical "Gladiator", Remo Mosole. The third and final Nations' Cup race, planned for the same day, will involve the Municipality of Spresiano and will be a circuit race finishing at Lago le Bandie. The event will be officially presented in April.
"For this, I want to extend a great thank you," Baron continued, "to the Municipalities of Pieve del Grappa, Fonte, San Zenone degli Ezzelini, and Spresiano, and to Remo Mosole's family for the extraordinary availability they have offered. Twenty nations have already confirmed their participation, with the United States and Australia being the first to do so."
"A big thanks to the sponsors of the 14th National Grand Prix F.W.R. BARON-Young Juniors Project," Baron concluded, "to Lumar Colors, RB Ronny Baron, Garofoli, Publinova, Sansiro Milano, Zanon Prefabbricati, Volata, and Wilier. The overall Superprestige winner will receive a special prize of a Wilier racing bike. Jerseys will also be up for grabs: the Young Project jersey, the green Pieve del Grappa Trophy jersey, the yellow San Zenone degli Ezzelini jersey, the white Fonte jersey, the red Castelcucco jersey, and the white-blue Lago le Bandie-Thai Si jersey. The awards ceremony will be held at the end of October, with the top three in the final standings and their sports directors receiving the honors."
"We are truly proud of the continued affection we receive," Baron concluded, "because we are the only ones in Italy organizing the prestigious Nations' Cup."
