The route, renewed compared to last year's edition, presents numerous altimetric challenges: among these stands out the climb of Castelletto d'Erro, with double-digit gradients, to be tackled twice in the last 50 km.
The GranPiemonte presented by Crédit Agricole will be the eighteenth event of the Regions Cup whose general classification is led by Christian Scaroni.
The number 1 bib is on the shoulders of Neilson Powless, who twelve months ago won with a splendid solo attack. The American, already with two seasonal victories, is particularly suited to undulating routes like this year's.
Among the main challengers are Isaac Del Toro, coming off a triumphant season with fourteen victories, Filippo Ganna, silver medalist in the European Championships time trial, and Michael Matthews, always comfortable on mixed routes.
Also to watch are Egan Bernal (2019 winner), Andrea Bagioli (2023 winner), Matej Mohoric (second in 2022), Christian Scaroni (five victories in 2025 and fourth at the Europeans), Alberto Bettiol (recently third at GP de Québec), Tobias Lund Andresen (second at Coppa Bernocchi), Tobias Halland Johannessen (sixth at Tour de France) and Lorenzo Mark Finn, Under 23 World Champion, eagerly awaited in the professional confrontation.
THE ROUTE
Challenging route with about ten more or less short climbs, including Bric della Forma and Rocchetta Palafea before entering the final circuit, and the Castelletto d'Erro climb to be covered twice with its 11% section with gradients up to 15% in the first part. From Dogliani the race passes through a long series of climbs and descents through Cherasco, Barolo, La Morra, Diano d'Alba until tackling the Bric della Forma that leads to Santo Stefano Belbo. Following the Rocchetta Pianfea climb whose descent leads to the final 33 km circuit to be repeated once after passing the finish line. The circuit has a flat section until the Castelletto d'Erro climb. A fast and challenging descent follows until entering the city.

A underpass and a left turn lead to the last kilometer with several roundabouts. Final straight of 450 m in a slight climb around 4%.
