Perhaps it's a cliché, perhaps not, but it often happens that eccentric people are also a bit distracted. An example? Ben Healy. The Irish EF Education Easypost rider was certainly the most eccentric rider of the Tour de France, not by chance elected "most combative" of the race, but not always completely focused.
He proved this in Lisieux, where one of the many Post Tour criteriums that are currently animating France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany was held. Wrapped in a beautiful yellow body, honoring his two days in the yellow jersey, Healy attacked and crossed the finish line with his arms raised, then turned his bike around to go back. At that point, he realized that the riders following him were making an unmistakable sign "One lap is still missing..."
A moment of bewilderment, then Healy got back on his bicycle and set off in pursuit, completing just a few hundred meters before the actual finish, where he could finally celebrate his victory!
