She accelerated 25 kilometers from the finish line, leaving her breakaway companions behind and racing towards the finish. Amber Kraak, 30, from FDJ Suez, won the second stage of the 2025 Tour de Suisse Women, starting from Gstaad and ending in Oberkirch after 162 kilometers. Marta Lach arrived 1'52" behind the Dutch rider: the Polish rider from Team SD Worx - Protime made a slight route error, taking a detour 250 meters from the finish line. Elise Chabbey, who finished third with a delay of 2'43", completed the FDJ Suez celebration, while the general classification leader Reusser finished in sixth place, ahead of Vollering, Ruegg, and Ciabocco.

THE RACE - The stage was characterized by an action initiated, after about thirty kilometers of racing, by the Dutch rider Amber Kraak (FDJ – SUEZ), Austrian Carina Schrempf (Fenix-Deceuninck), New Zealander Henrietta Christie (EF Education-Oatly), and Polish riders Marta Lach (Team SD Worx – Protime) and Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka (CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto). The athlete from the American team lost contact with her breakaway companions about ninety kilometers from the finish, leaving four riders to lead the race.

When the situation seemed to have stabilized and the breakaway riders had an advantage of about 4 minutes over the main group, Eleonora Ciabocco launched herself in pursuit of the attackers from the peloton: about forty kilometers remained to the finish.

With the Abruzzo rider from Picnic PostNl in pursuit, Amber Kraak made her move and broke away on the slopes of the Buechenhübeli climb, starting her solo action. Meanwhile, Lach was chasing behind her, and further back, the group of best riders saw Katarzyna Niewiadoma attack, with Garcia and Chabbey on her wheel.

Tomorrow, the Tour de Suisse Women will live its penultimate day with a 123-kilometer stage between Oberkirch and Küssnacht, with Reusser still in yellow, 4" ahead of Vollering, 1'21" over Niewiadoma, and 1'55" over Chabbey.
