
The official presentation of the 2-Day Brescia and Bergamo event took place in the prestigious setting of Grumello del Monte Castle, a new national cycling competition for the Junior category organized by Cycling and Fun Asd, which will feature the Franciacorta and Valcalepio Tour.
The 2-Day Brescia and Bergamo will take place on Saturday, May 24 in Rovato (Brescia) and Sunday, May 25 in Grumello del Monte (Bergamo). Also up for grabs are the 4th ECOTEK Grand Prix and the 1st SE.AV.IM. Advanced Business Services Grand Prix.
The event saw the participation of numerous institutional and sports authorities, demonstrating the value and importance of this event in the youth cycling calendar. Two appointments that promise spectacle and great competition, with technically challenging routes that will test the young cycling talents.
Stefano Lorenzi, manager of Grumello Castle, hosted the event in a suggestive location, emphasizing the importance of linking sport to the territory and its enhancement. Among the sports and organizational authorities were Luigi Braghini, president of Team ECOTEK and the organizing committee of the Rovato race, and Lucio Dognini, president of the organizing committee
of the Grumello race. Both thanked the sponsors and every person who made the birth of this new event possible.
Significant were the interventions of the guests present who highlighted the importance of organizing races to help athletes grow, enhance the territory, and give visibility to sponsors. In addition to FCI Lombardy President Stefano Pedrinazzi, who focused on the spirit of unity among local societies, there was also Mario Scirea, an unforgettable professional now a member of the National team's technical staff. Among the audience, the presence of two extraordinary personalities like Davide Boifava and Gianluigi Stanga was noteworthy.
The presentation also saw the participation of local administration representatives, including Floriano Caldara, mayor of Grumello, and Piermauro Nembrini, mayor of Chiuduno, along with the commander of the Local Police of Grumello, Lorenzo Chiapperini. A special moment of the presentation was the tribute to the two mayors, who were given the book "Bergamo Brescia Culture Cycle Route", written by Giornale di Brescia journalist, Paolo Venturini.
A tribute that ideally connects the provinces of the two competitions on the 24th and 25th of May, which were then technically illustrated by ECOTEK Team Vice President Giovanni Capoferri and the aforementioned Lucio Dognini, who, at the end of the presentation, also called Paralympic athlete Andrea Pusateri to the stage. The ten-time Italian Paralympic champion concluded the event, emphasizing the importance of sport as the primary tool for overcoming one's limits and winning life's challenges.
