These are days filled with emotion ahead of the Tour de France for Marco Frigo: the 26-year-old from Bassano has been called up by NSN and will start his first Grande Boucle of his career on Saturday. A professional since 2023, Marco has already participated in three editions of the Giro d'Italia and two editions of the Vuelta España, so he is not lacking experience in a Grand Tour, but speaking about what awaits him from Saturday onwards he says: «The first Tour is special for every cyclist, I remember that the 2010 edition, the one with the battle between Contador and Schleck on the Tourmalet, was one of the first races I watched on television. Being able to take part in the Tour de France will be fantastic. I have to be honest, perhaps I haven't yet fully grasped the magnitude of the event I will be participating in».

Frigo will pedal with teammates Askey, Bennett, Louvel, Neilands, Stewart and Van Asbroeck alongside Girmay who in 2024 made history at the Tour de France by becoming the first African athlete to win the green jersey of the points classification. «Obviously I will give 100% for Bini in the sprints, but I also think I can try to fight for stage wins. Much depends on tactics, but already from the first week there are some finishes that suit us, I want to seize every opportunity I get».

As with the Italian rider, the 2026 Tour de France  - which will start on Saturday from Barcelona with a 19-kilometre team time trial -  has a particular significance for the entire  NSN team as well. In fact, although it holds a Swiss license, the team is backed by a company founded in Barcelona itself, and sports director  Sam Bewley emphasizes this with pride: «It will be fantastic to start the Tour in NSN's home city, selfishly I would have preferred the first stage to be for the sprinters.  We want to honor the jersey in a special way in Barcelona but we know that the stages are not ideal for our group of riders. This doesn't mean we won't race with determination, it will be a great opportunity for everyone connected to the team».
