Cold weather, intermittent rain and heavy terrain characterized the cyclocross race at Cerratina di Pianella called the "B-Cross", expertly organized by the local cycling club Cycling Bro, presided over by Loris Di Lorenzo.

The event, combined in a single race with the FCI Abruzzo regional championship, brought together competitors from every corner of the region and from various parts of Italy for the opening round of the macro-regional Adriatic Cross Tour circuit.

There were 124 protagonists, both competitive and amateur riders, who tackled with great determination the challenges of the muddy terrain on the course laid out in the vast green area in front of Cerratina's city park. In parallel, there was also a promotional event reserved for children under 12 years old (both registered and non-registered), a happy initiative to introduce the youngest to the cyclocross discipline.

First place was achieved by competitive riders Nicolò Di Girolamo (Amici della Bici Junior) among first-year male beginners, Bianca Giuliani (Gruppo Sportivo Pianello) among first-year female beginners, Leonardo Ponte (Gruppo Sportivo Pianello) among second-year male beginners, Gaia Fiorelli (Progetto Ciclismo Piceno) among second-year female beginners, Pietro Sebastiani (Velo Club Cattolica) among male youth riders, Matilde Donati (Abruzzo Cycling Team) among female youth riders, Filippo Cocci (SC Villa Sant'Antonio-Cicli Cocci) among juniors and Alessandro Biscossi (Team General System) among open category riders.

Notable performances among the top finishers in each amateur category were achieved by Maria Partenza (Cycling Bro) among female masters, Federico Di Gianluca (Team Go Fast) among elite sport riders, Andrea Di Renzo (HG Cycling Team) among master 1, Lorenzo Cionna (HG Cycling Team) among master 2, Lucio Griccini (HG Cycling Team) among master 3, Alessandro Dell'Orso (Capone Cycling Team) among master 4, Paolo Pavoni (Team Co.Bo Pavoni) among master 5, Federico Talozzi (Scuderia Muflone) among master 6, Luigino D'Ambrosio (Rampiclub Val Vibrata) among master 7, Giuseppe Cinalli (Pro Life Racing Team) among master 8 and Adamo Re (Bike Racing Team) among master 9.

At the end of the races, the awards ceremony took place and the regional champion jerseys were presented in the presence of Davide Berardinucci (vice mayor of Pianella), Mauro Marrone, Maurizio Formichetti and Valentino Del Coco (respectively president, vice president and off-road sector representative of FCI Abruzzo).

Abruzzo will see the Adriatic Cross Tour circuit return on Sunday, November 15 at Guardia Vomano in Notaresco with the Trofeo Mamma e Papà De Patre organized by the Vomano Bike – Parmegiani Management partnership.
