Gabriela Guerra's name is not new to the world of cycling: the YouTube channel where the Brazilian publishes videos of her e-cycling races has more than 59,000 subscribers. The real novelty is the transition of the 32-year-old South American from virtual cycling to road racing with Cofidis Women.
Second-placed finisher in the 2024 and 2025 editions of the Cycling Esports World Championships, Guerra participated in some road races with the German Continental team Wheel Divas Cycling at the end of this season. On her racing record are six days of official competitions, a seventh-place finish and solo victories achieved at the Riderman in Germany and at the Mirabelle Classic, a French 1.2 competition where she left behind Émilie Morier of St Michel - Preference Home and Victoire Berteau of Cofidis.
It was precisely the management of the yellow and red team who decided to offer Guerra a new challenge and a two-year contract. "We are thrilled to work with Gabriela and curious to see how she will tackle this new venture. We were impressed by the determination and qualities she showed in the road races at the end of the season. We can't wait to see her racing in Cofidis colors. We will do everything we can so that she can demonstrate her abilities and at the same time improve to reach the levels she has shown in virtual cycling races," said Cofidis General Manager Raphael Jeune.
Born and raised in Brazil, Gabriela later moved to Germany to start a business venture and now commutes between Europe and the United States, where she has relocated. A lover of challenges, Guerra stated: "I don't have particular fears, I just want to test myself and understand if I can transfer to the road the qualities I have demonstrated in e-cycling."
And further: "I can't wait to start the season, help Team Cofidis and give my best. It will be a great challenge."
