The podium has vanished. Or at least part of the structure that made it up. The news comes from Taranto, where the Mediterranean Games are currently taking place, and where yesterday, when organizing staff from the organizing committee were setting up the area that had hosted the cycling competition awards ceremonies, they discovered the missing piece.

According to reports from colleagues at the Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno, what is missing is a piece of the rubber and aluminum covering that separates two steps of the podium: small in size (80 cm x 25 cm) and limited in economic value.

The work of thieves or simply a prank? Certainly an unsavory gesture.
