A double triumph for Jasper Philipsen, who wins both the final stage and the overall classification of the 2026 Renewi Tour. The Alpecin Premier Tech sprinter prevailed in a sprint finish at the Louvain line after the 183-kilometer circuit stage that characterized today's racing. Behind the winner, Luca Mozzato (Tudor Pro Cycling) and Mike Teunissen (XDS Astana) crossed the line.
The action that defined the final day of racing was initiated immediately after the start by Australian Robert Stannard (Bahrain – Victorious) and Belgian Frederik Frison (Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team). This duo was later joined by Emil Herzog (Red Bull - BORA – hansgrohe), Edward Theuns (Lidl – Trek), Dries De Bondt (Team Jayco AlUla), and Hartthijs de Vries (Unibet Rose Rockets).
The attackers shared the workload and managed to stay clear until 7 kilometers from the finish, when they were first caught by Bittner (Team Picnic PostNL) and Kopecký (Unibet Rose Rockets), followed shortly after by the main peloton.
Subsequent skirmishes between overall leader Philipsen and Berckmoes, second in the general classification, intensified the battle. Two kilometers from the finish line, the high pace caused several riders to crash at the back of the group.
Carl-Frederik Bévort of Uno X attempted to capitalize on the confusion but was shut down by Ballerini. At 300 meters from the line, the sprint kicked off, rewarding Philipsen, who now brings his career tally to 68 victories.
