An amateur cyclist is hospitalized at Milan's Niguarda Hospital after being involved in an accident on Sunday while riding along the Alzaia del Naviglio Pavese. At around 12:30 PM, Eliseo, the 66-year-old man's name, lost control of his bicycle and fell to the ground.

Emergency services were called, and medical teams arrived at the scene with an ambulance and a support vehicle, providing first aid to the cyclist before transporting him in critical condition to the Milan hospital.

Authorities are working to determine the circumstances of the accident: it remains unclear whether the fall was caused by a sudden medical episode, a section of damaged road, or whether vehicles were involved.

The man remains hospitalized in very serious condition.
