If you love flat terrain, enjoy the first ten kilometers of this 14th stage of the Tour de France: we start from Mulhouse but as soon as we leave the city we begin climbing and... we never stop. In detail, the route offers Mulhouse - Le Markstein Fellering of 155.3 km with 3,800 meters of elevation gain.

We start climbing with the Grand Ballon, categorized climb at km 36.3, a 1st category ascent measuring 21.6 km at 4.7%. Long descent and here we are at Col du Page which crests at km 71.3, 2nd category, 9.8 km at 4.7%. We then return to where we were yesterday, namely Ballon d'Alsace with the categorized climb positioned at km 94.4 at the end of a 1st category climb of 8.9 km with an average gradient of 6.9%. Closing this circular route in the heart of the Vosges will be an absolute novelty, what Tour director Christian Prudhomme has defined as one of the "gems" of this edition: we climb the Col du Haag, categorized climb at km 149.4, a 1st category ascent of 11.2 km at 7.3%. What makes it special? The fact that it is a forest trail that has been transformed into a cycling path, characterized by a decidedly irregular gradient. We crest, as mentioned, six kilometers from the finish line: get your stopwatches ready, there will be significant time gaps.
