It's been a long time since I did a team time trial and we can be happy with what we did and motivated for the next day. Isaac did really extraordinary work... the whole team did an excellent job».

The Slovenian also acknowledged his individual performance, highlighting his climbing abilities: «I have the legs of a climber, but the climb was rather short and so I couldn't use my abilities to the fullest».

Despite the disappointment of not wearing the yellow jersey, Pogacar showed himself motivated for future challenges. «First of all, I need to relax a bit after today's stage, even though there's not much time to relax before bed, but I think today there will be a rather tricky stage and I believe it's suited for attackers. I think it will be a really hectic stage, especially in the finale, and before reaching the finish line it's sometimes really complicated and we need to be careful and understand how to manage the final part of the stage to avoid problems».
