Colnago and Richard Mille present the RM 64-01 Tourbillon Colnago, a new limited edition timepiece created by Richard Mille and inspired by the technical, aesthetic and sporting language of Colnago. The watch, produced in only 50 pieces, is born from a collaboration between Richard Mille and the historic Cambiago-based company, with the aim of bringing some of the most recognizable codes of the Italian brand into the world of haute horlogerie.
A TRIBUTE TO THE ARCHITECTURE OF A COLNAGO BIKE. The RM 64-01 Tourbillon Colnago is born as a tribute to the architecture of a Colnago bicycle. The skeletonized movement recalls the structure of a racing frame, with bridges and components arranged according to a visual logic that evokes piping, geometries and transmission. The stellate sections of the bridges are inspired by the celebrated Gilco tubes, one of the most recognizable design signatures in Colnago's history, the micro-junctions are a tribute to the Serie C, the series of iconic bikes handcrafted in Cambiago, while the color palette in white, azure and gold reflects the language of the brand's most exclusive creations.
The collaboration with Richard Mille stems from a shared vision: to push the limits of mechanics without sacrificing identity. Like a Colnago bicycle, this timepiece is also built around the idea that every element must have a precise function and, at the same time, contribute to the overall personality of the object.
TRANSFORMING TECHNIQUE INTO CULTURE. "With Richard Mille we found a partner capable of interpreting our history, our codes and our idea of performance in a completely new language," says Nicola Rosin. "Beyond technical excellence, in every Colnago product there is the authenticity of our brand, which is made of craftsmanship, history, the pursuit of mechanical beauty and aesthetics. The RM 64-01 Tourbillon Colnago is exactly this: it tells what it means to transform technique into culture."
The Ace of Spades, Colnago's historic symbol, appears on the crown, becoming one of the most immediate signs of the collaboration. From a construction standpoint, the RM 64-01 Tourbillon Colnago uses a manual-winding tourbillon movement, a case in white Quartz TPT® and Azure Blue and details in 5N rose gold. The grade 5 titanium bridges are lacquered in white and hand-painted in blue and gold, with shapes that recall the identity of Colnago frames. The power reserve is approximately 65 hours.
The operation comes at a time when Colnago continues to strengthen its role as a global brand capable of uniting heritage, technology and contemporaneity. From the victories that have marked the history of cycling to the most recent collaborations with top-level athletes and teams, Colnago remains a reference point for those who interpret the bicycle not only as a performance tool, but as a object of technical culture and design.
COLLABORATION BETWEEN CHAMPIONS. The collaboration also fits into an already shared sporting context. Tadej Pogačar, a reference athlete in contemporary cycling, races with UAE Team Emirates on Colnago bicycles and is part of the Richard Mille universe. The connection with Tadej Pogačar and UAE Team Emirates strengthens the link between the project and competition at the highest levels, where every detail can become decisive and where innovation, instinct and precision coexist in the same athletic gesture.
The RM 64-01 Tourbillon Colnago will be one of the rarest jewels, with a limited series of 50 pieces, that unites Richard Mille's radical approach to haute horlogerie with the tradition of innovation in racing, Italian craftsmanship and Colnago's uncompromising performance.
