Paris-Nice is a race that never offers easy days and the sixth stage was quite heated as well, particularly in the finale following an attack by Colombian Harold Tejada, who with a move on the final climb crossed the finish line first in Apt. In the general classification everything remained unchanged and Jonas Vingegaard still wears the yellow jersey as the race leader.

The Dane, however, is displeased and once again returned to the topic of safety during his post-race comments: «I don't like it when a stage finishes in a downhill. I think it was rather dangerous and in the end I only thought about crossing the finish line safely».

During Paris-Nice the Dane has often spoken about unsafe roads and his caution also stems from a crash he had on a downhill at the Tour of the Basque Country two years ago, when during the fourth stage, falling together with other riders, he suffered serious injuries that kept him away from racing for several months.

«It's never an easy day at Paris-Nice and certainly we didn't expect fireworks like today. It was a tough day»: Vingegaard probably would have liked to finish ahead yesterday as well, but precisely in the final part of the stage he decided to stay safe, while still maintaining his advantage in the general classification.

«In the end it wasn't an easy day, but we reached the finish line without anything happening to us and that's the most important thing». After the Côte de Saignon, the day's final climb, the riders had to make a long descent to reach the finish line in Apt and, according to the Dane, a finale like this does not guarantee proper safety for the riders.

«I don't like it when there's a downhill leading to the finish line and this one in my opinion was also dangerous».
