The Italian riders Matteo Bianchi, Stefano Minuta and Mattia Predomo won the bronze medal in the Team Sprint at the Konya European Championships, beating the Czech trio Topinka-Peterka-Rauschgold with a time of 42.285 (Italian record!).
Gold medal and European title went to the French riders Gilliol Helal and Oliviero, who recorded a time of 41.789, beating the British trio composed of Richardson, Truman and Turnbull.
WOMEN'S TEAM SPRINT. The historic day for Italian cycling begins with qualifications featuring both the men's and women's teams. Miriam Vece, Siria Trevisan and Matilde Cenci stop the clock at 47"765, seventh time and advancing to the next round. At the end of the day, they finish eighth.
