INEOS Grenadiers are pleased to announce the signing of Embret Svestad-Bårdseng with a three-year contract. The 23-year-old has already established himself as one of the most promising Norwegian climbing talents. In his first year at the WorldTour level, he has quickly demonstrated his potential as a strong and versatile rider, capable of excelling on the most challenging terrains.
He completed his debut in a Grand Tour at the 2025 Giro d'Italia, raced with great enthusiasm at the Volta a Catalunya and Tour de Pologne, and finished fourth in the queen stage of the Tour of Oman, securing a top 10 position in the general classification.
Reflecting on his arrival, Svestad-Bårdseng stated: "I am incredibly excited to join INEOS Grenadiers. This is an important and exciting step in my career. I grew up watching this team dominate Grand Tours in the mountains and have always dreamed of being part of it one day. Joining the Grenadiers now feels like that dream has come true. I want to thank Arkéa-B&B Hotels and Emmanuel Hubert for giving me the opportunity to reach the WorldTour and for helping me grow as a cyclist over the past two seasons. I believe being part of INEOS Grenadiers can now help me take a big step forward as a cyclist, and I can't wait to be part of one of the most high-performing teams in the world. I want to contribute to the team's success, help them win, and hopefully win myself along the way."
Sir Dave Brailsford commented: "Embret is a truly exciting addition to our roster. He is young and ambitious and is already demonstrating the climbing talent necessary at the highest levels of this sport. What sets him apart is not just his physical ability, but also his willingness to learn and contribute to the team. We see in him real potential to grow in our environment and become a fundamental part of our future".
