The UAE Team Emirates-XRG announces the signing of Kevin Vermaerke, who has signed a two-year contract. The American rider, versatile and skilled, brings WorldTour experience, tactical ability, and proven capacity to support leaders in the most challenging races of the calendar.
Vermaerke, 24 years old, comes from Team dsm–firmenich PostNL, where he has earned a reputation as a reliable and hardworking cyclist in both stage races and classics. His palmares includes, among others, a victory at the Liège-Bastogne-Liège Espoirs in 2019 and more recent excellent results at the San Sebastián Classic (4th place in 2024) and a podium at the Arctic Race of Norway (3rd place in 2024).
This signing enriches the UAE Team Emirates-XRG roster for the 2026 season, particularly in support of its ambitions in stage races and classics.
Mauro Gianetti, CEO and Team Principal of UAE Team Emirates-XRG: "We are very pleased to welcome Kevin to our team. He is a young and versatile rider who has already demonstrated the ability to compete at the highest levels. We believe he can continue to grow in our environment and become an important part of our team structure, both in stage races and one-day events".
Kevin Vermaerke in turn adds: "I am incredibly excited to join UAE Team Emirates-XRG next year and start a new chapter in my career. I have grown a lot in recent years, but I feel that the United Arab Emirates team environment, the level of riders, and the attention to detail in the team will be the change I need to take the next step. I can't wait to learn from the best in the world and contribute to the team's success next season".
