Sunday, July 6th, 2025, the roads of the Asiago Plateau will be back in the spotlight with the arrival of the 39th edition of the Giro del Medio Brenta, one of the most prestigious cycling races in the international Elite - Under 23 panorama. Included in the UCI Europe Tour (class 1.2), the race will see 175 athletes at the start, representing 30 teams, including 12 foreign formations, for a total of 9 nations represented: a high-level scenario that confirms the growing international stature of the event.
Starting from the Ballan SPA headquarters, in Villa del Conte (PD) and finishing in Gallio, the race will face a selective route, with the Plateau climbs making the difference between fast wheels and true climbers.
The MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack team arrives at the start with great ambitions. The formation will be guided in the team car by Flavio Miozzo and composed of: Manuel Oioli, Luca Cretti, Cesare Chesinim, Pavel Novak, Diego Bracalente and Matteo Ambrosini.
Great anticipation for Matteo Ambrosini, an athlete who lives right on the Asiago Plateau: he will therefore race on his home roads, driven by the enthusiasm of the local public. Ambrosini will be accompanied by teammates already protagonists in the past: Luca Cretti, second place in 2023, and Diego Bracalente, in excellent condition and Pavel Novak, 3rd at Giro Next Gen. Attention also to Chesini, a Venetian, watched with interest.
This race has a special value for the team, being organized by the Ballan family, who have always been a reference point for the growth of youth cycling. The 2024 edition was a memorable celebration for the team, thanks to the victory of Sergio Meris.
"We have worked hard - explains Flavio Miozzo - both as a team and as an organization. The Medio Brenta is an international-level race that we approach with great passion and pride. Last year we managed to win with Meris. I wish our riders, and all participants, a warm good luck".
