Not an easy stage, the Fiorenzuola d'Arda - Gavi of 153 km, but one that could wink at the fast wheels since the difficulties are quite far from the finish line.

Starting from Fiorenzuola d'Arda, where anticipation is already growing for the "Six Days of Roses" event, scheduled from August 1st to 6th, heading towards the Apennines: the treacherous Penice Pass (12.9 km at 6.7%) will be crossed 84 km from the finish line, and then the only obstacle before the arrival is the Coppi Pass (1.6 km at 6%) 26 km from the finish, although the course in the second stage offers continuous ups and downs on the gentle hills of the Alessandria area.
The final kilometers are characterized by a slight descent in the first part, followed by a well-lit tunnel that leads to the climb towards the city center: a sharp turn 500 m from the finish to enter the final straight, slightly uphill.
