Well in advance of the start in Lille set for Saturday, June 5th, Uno-X Mobility has announced its riders for the Tour de France 2025.
Leading the orange-red team in what will be the third participation in the Grande Boucle in the team's history will be Tobias Halland Johannessen who, after his fifth place at the Critérium du Dauphiné, will try to fight for a good general classification placement in a race where, so far, he has managed to obtain four top 10 stage finishes (all at the 2023 Tour).
Supporting his ambitions in the mountains will be his twin brother Anders Halland Johannessen (recently victorious in a stage of the Tour of Slovenia) and Andreas Leknessund, who in Italy is especially remembered for wearing the pink jersey at the 2023 Giro d'Italia for five stages.
Ready to help the most talented of the Johannessens when needed, but also free to chase personal glory in mixed stages that suit them best, will be Magnus Cort (multiple winner this season for Uno-X with 3 victories) and Markus Hoelgaard, while Søren Wærenskjold will have license to sprint, supported by Stian Fredheim.
Finally, a true wild card will be Jonas Abrahamsen who, if he possesses the same stunning form he had at the 2024 Tour, could both act as a domestique on multiple fronts and repeatedly launch attacks from far out to seek that stage victory that has so far eluded the Norwegian team.
Some riders who performed well in the first part of the season will not be protagonists in France, such as Fredrik Dversnes and Johannes Kulset (both on the podium at the AlUla Tour in early February) and, above all, Alexander Kristoff who, in what is likely his last season in professional cycling, will support his teammates from home: his pursuit of 100 professional victories will pass through other events in the coming months.
