The first edition of ASPREVIE – Anghiari Gravel Roads has been completed and provided a beautiful cycling day for the 115 participants who pedaled through the roads of Valtiberina, in the heart of the Apennines. The cycling event organized by Gs Fratres Dynamis Bike and reserved for gravel and MTB bikes recorded good participation and, most importantly, was fully appreciated by all the cyclists present. The pulsing heart of Asprevie was Anghiari, the start and finish location, with the ride developing through some of the most beautiful areas of the territory, with its splendid landscapes and challenging climbs, immersed in nature, woods, and the small villages that characterize it.
An adventure that allowed participants to discover previously unknown places, but also a challenge with one's desire to pedal by tackling demanding and steep roads in terms of elevation. Characteristics that accompanied participants on the "Medium Route" of 78 km with an uphill elevation of approximately 1500 mt and even more on the "Long Route" of 120 km with an uphill elevation of approximately 2600 mt. The much-appreciated refreshment points, positioned in some of the most significant points of the two routes, delighted the cyclists.
Asprevie is not a competition, but for those who pedaled the long route, there was still the opportunity to measure themselves on three timed climbs. The best performer was Mattia Zoccolanti, who consequently won the three jerseys created by Pissei: the GIGLIO BLU by covering the FELCINO REVERSE climb (2370 meters at 10.2% gradient) in 9'47", the GIGLIO ORO by scaling QUATTRO VIE (3400 meters at 9%) in 14'45" and the GIGLIO ROSSO by crossing FOSSA (660 meters at 10.1%) in 2'40". On the first two ascents, Zoccolanti preceded Daniel Bogliari and Loriano Lapi, on the last one he prevailed over Daniel Bogliari and Michele Fanti.
A touch of competition in a day characterized by fun, stunning landscapes, effort on challenging and fascinating roads, sharing the passion for bicycles, in this case gravel and MTB. An adventure experienced with enthusiasm by participants and organizers. "We are happy because everything went well - emphasized Fabrizio Graziotti, president of Gs Fratres Dynamis Bike – and because the cyclists present enjoyed pedaling on our ASPREVIE. It was a positive edition, the first of many that will follow in the future. I thank the entire group for the work done, the institutions and sponsors for their support, all those who collaborated on the organizational part, and obviously those who participated. See you in 2026".
