GIRO D'ITALIA | 23/04/2025 | 17:35

The new pink jersey, which will be the protagonist of the 2025 Giro d'Italia, has officially been born. Presenting it this evening in Verona were Matteo Veronesi, son of the group's founder and board member of Oniverse, which owns the Intimissimi brand and its Iuman line that will sponsor the pink jersey, as we anticipated yesterday; Paolo Bellino, CEO of Rcs Sports Events and Eleonora Incardona, voice and face of Dazn, together with Damiano Cunego who won the Giro d'Italia in 2004.

IUMAN, the new name for the Intimissimi Uomo brand and leader in men's underwear, proudly returns to dress the Giro d'Italia, announcing the sponsorship of the Pink Jersey, the queen of the competition.

The Brand, part of the Oniverse Group, after its multi-year sponsorship of the White Jersey, confirms and consolidates its bond with the Giro, an event that promotes Italy, unity, and sport, for an unforgettable month of competition.

The presentation event, held at the IUMAN - Intimissimi Uomo Store in the heart of Verona, was attended by Matteo Veronesi, Oniverse Board Member; Alessandro Soave, IUMAN General Manager; Paolo Bellino, CEO of RCS Sports & Events; Damiano Cunego, true Veronese and winner of the 2004 Giro d'Italia, along with representatives of institutions, sponsors, and media.

STATEMENTS

Matteo Veronesi, Oniverse Board Member: "The Pink Jersey is an icon of the Italian sports world. We are proud to strengthen the launch of IUMAN through such a prestigious sponsorship. We have recently presented the new naming of Intimissimi Uomo: IUMAN. Maintaining its specialization and DNA of quality and comfort, the Brand renews itself to rewrite the future of men's underwear. The Pink Jersey is the first and decisive step of this ambitious path, and we are confident it will guarantee us satisfaction and great emotions".

Urbano Cairo, RCS MediaGroup President: "The Giro d'Italia is much more than a cycling race: it's a cultural and popular event, capable of uniting people and enhancing our Country in every form. IUMAN as a Pink Jersey sponsor further strengthens the link with the world of Italian excellence. We're talking about a young and recognizable brand, with an international scope and projected towards innovation; all qualities that perfectly match the values of the Giro. It's a collaboration looking to the future, in the sign of Made in Italy, racing fast on roads around the world".

Alessandro Soave, IUMAN General Manager: "We are certain that the visibility associated with the Pink Jersey will represent a precious asset for IUMAN's promotion, with resonance at national and international levels. The association of the two Brands, united by values and success stories, will represent an additional boost for their respective positioning and business objectives".

Paolo Bellino, RCS Sports & Events CEO: "We are happy to welcome back Intimissimi Uomo, now with the IUMAN brand, in the role of protagonist at the Giro d'Italia, after the long and significant experience alongside the White Jersey. The transition to sponsoring the Pink Jersey represents a natural and prestigious evolution of a relationship founded on common values: Italianness, quality, style, and determination. For the IUMAN brand, it will be a great opportunity for visibility worldwide thanks to the television broadcast distributed globally".

Damiano Cunego: "The Pink Jersey is something that gets inside you. It's the jersey that every rider dreams of, the one that changes your career and the way you experience cycling. Being here in Verona, my city, to celebrate the 2025 launch is truly exciting. Every time I see it, I feel the same emotions as when I wore it: it's the synthesis of a result built after a long and tiring journey, determined by the strength, both physical and mental, that is needed day after day to prevail against the great opponents faced".

THE NEW PINK JERSEY

Designed and produced by Castelli, the 2025 Giro d'Italia Pink Jersey will have a texture with a world map that will contemporarily and modernly transmit the concept of internationality. The Giro d'Italia was recognized in 2024 as an Ambassador of Made in Italy in the world by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and to celebrate this extremely important milestone, the Pink Jersey (as well as the other 3 leader jerseys) this year was designed to follow the worldwide development of the brand.

Alessio Cremonese, Castelli CEO: "With over a century of innovation and collaboration with the world's best athletes, we have taken our fastest jersey to a higher level. The Aero Race 8S Jersey is the result of advanced research, representing the excellence of aerodynamic research applied to racing apparel, with a construction based on engineered materials to maximize performance. Every detail is designed to transform watts into speed most effectively. At the same time, we have taken care of comfort in every aspect, to guarantee perfect fit and support in every condition. Every seam, every fabric, every design choice has only one goal: to help riders go faster. It's the perfect synthesis of science, innovation, and passion for cycling".
