It is always Ottavio Bottecchia, the first mythical champion from the province of Treviso: in cycling, in history, and even in commerce. A group of athletes, managers, and sponsors from the Uc Trevigiani Energiapura Marchiol visited the Ottavio Bottecchia Museum, inaugurated last January, in San Martino di Colle Umberto: specifically Luciano Marton, general manager, and athletes Tommaso Cafueri, Alessandro Da Ros, Tommaso Farsetti, Luca Fraticelli, and Mattia Favaretto, media store manager at Fantic&Bottecchia. They were welcomed by Tiziana Gottardi, president of the Pro Loco of Colle Umberto, and Andrea Casagrande, president of the Ottavio Bottecchia Museum.
They wanted to, in a certain way, celebrate the centenary of Ottavio Bottecchia's second Tour de France victory and the 112 years of Uc Trevigiani.
Persevere, resist. Above all, want. This is Ottavio Bottecchia's motto that must be a creed for the team starting from tomorrow's Memorial Polese and continuing for the rest of the season. During the pleasant meeting, the book "One hundred years of cycling... and the race continues" was donated to the Museum for the 100 years of Uc Trevigiani, and a Bottecchia Aerospace model bicycle was displayed, with which the athletes of president Ettore Renato Barzi and main sponsors Energiapura of Alberto Olivetto and Marchiol compete.
Diego Turato, administrator of Bottecchia Cicli, said at the team presentation two weeks ago at the Santa Caterina Museum in Treviso, "We are enthusiastic about this collaboration with Uc Trevigiani Energiapura Marchiol. This team represents an authentic talent forge and embodies the values of passion, determination, and innovation that we share at Bottecchia. This year we celebrate the second centenary of Ottavio Bottecchia's Tour victory, who in 1925 replicated his previous year's victory, signing a success that few other Italian champions have achieved in cycling history. And it is precisely this attachment to the world of racing that continues to compose the DNA of Bottecchia Cicli. For this new season, the athletes will race on our Aerospace, the monocoque carbon racing bike, in the dedicated Uc Trevigiani color. Designed to offer race performance, Aerospace guarantees maximum aerodynamics and integration to ensure speed and reactivity. Thanks to advanced technology and cutting-edge solutions, Aerospace will be a fundamental ally in tackling every race with maximum efficiency. Our experience and technology at the service of athletes will contribute to pushing towards new milestones, with the goal of continuing to write important pages of Italian cycling. We can't wait to face this new season of challenges and emotions together."
In a certain sense, there is a connection with the athletes of Uc Trevigiani Energiapura Bottecchia in the team: Riccardo Perani was born on July 20, the day Ottavio Bottecchia won his first Tour de France
