In the name of continuity. Stefano Pedrinazzi has been re-elected president of the Lombardy Regional Committee for the next four-year period (2025-2008). A crushing victory confirming the goodness that Pedrinazzi was able to convey in his first term, and on this path he intends to continue working with commitment and passion. A growth that now sets itself, among other things, the goal of improving by bringing new ideas with the support of the new Board of Directors.
"I especially want to thank the societies for the great support and trust expressed in me," states Pedrinazzi. "I have been called back to a sense of responsibility and respect, not to shy away from the duties one is called to, with the commitment to work well for our cycling".
What are your priorities?
"First of all, we will try to help the struggling grassroots societies engaged in the youth project. They must be helped; this is the best way to support our societies so they do not get discouraged and abandon their activity. Together with the Italian Cycling Federation, which I will involve, we will work to protect the interests of sports groups by trying to present a strong and credible project related to youth. We must lend a hand to all those who help make cycling".
How do you intend to proceed?
"Together with the new council, we will study solutions to stand by families and their children. Safety is the basis of everything; we will study solutions to guarantee greater peace of mind to parents, with the obligation to understand and respect their needs. We will aim to further develop the 'non-competitive' formula, intervening on the playful aspect of the bicycle, that is, pedaling for fun, even before intervening on the competitive aspect. There are facilities that are already validating our thesis, such as the Bike-Park in Giussano and the Cyclodromes where children play on bicycles in complete safety. A policy that is also paying off in numbers. The movement now counts more than 400 youngsters with a non-competitive card called P.G., which means Youth Promotion".
With even more conviction and good intentions, Pedrinazzi is ready for his second term. More united and strong with the new team composed of vice presidents Cinzia Ghisellini and Pietro Foroni, and councilors Debora Adele Gatti, Norma Fumagalli, Adriano Roverselli, and Claudio Roncalli.
