Over the weekend, FDJ United – SUEZ began its approach to 2026 with an event that the French team's management wanted to call "Grand Depart". On the Futuroscope Arena stage, the athletes who will defend the colors of the French team next season came up, including Italians Vittoria Guazzini and Sofia Bertizzolo. Demi Vollering will also be the team's diamond point in 2026, who, speaking on stage, used these words to describe her first year with the club: "It was truly a beautiful season. With the team, we achieved important goals, starting with the victory at Strade Bianche, a beautiful race where the entire team was a protagonist. Of course, then there was the Vuelta victory and good results at the Tour de Femmes where our team won the team classification and the polka dot jersey with Elise. I can truly say it was a magnificent year".

The native of Pijnacker, who recently celebrated her twenty-ninth birthday, did not shy away from the interviewers' questions and, looking ahead to 2026, declared: "I believe it will be a year full of challenges. New athletes have joined our team, the squad has grown and has great motivation to do well next year".

Then, smiling, the European champion made an announcement in French: "Je veux gagner le Tour de France avec l'équipe", clarifying that her main objective for the new season will be conquering the yellow jersey in the French stage race.

Winning the Tour de France Femmes is certainly the main objective of the entire transalpine formation, as also declared by team manager Stephen Delcourt: "I believe we all have a dream, an 'obsession', to win the yellow jersey. We will try to do so in 2026, but if it's not next year, we will commit even more to try in 2027 or 2028".

The French manager then said he was inspired by Paris Saint-Germain football team and its coach Luis Enrique: "He studied and created a group to be able to win. That's what we have also done at FDJ United – SUEZ over the years: we created a structure, then a team that has grown season after season. We made important signings, increased the staff and provided the best materials. This year we have grown again with new additions: ours is truly a united group that wants to win the most beautiful and important races on the calendar, conquer the yellow jersey and make new generations of fans dream for many years to come".

A statement of intent that leaves no doubt: FDJ United – Suez is preparing to battle in all competitions.
