The Tour de France Femmes was in Amanda Spratt's plans, but the experienced Australian athlete from Lidl Trek will not be able to take part in the French stage race starting this afternoon from Vannes and will be replaced by her compatriot Lauretta Hanson.
The announcement came last evening directly from the team, which explained in a statement: "Unfortunately, Amanda Spratt woke up this morning with a sore throat and blocked nose. For this reason, it was decided that she will not participate in the Tour de France Femmes. Lauretta Hanson will take her place and will line up for her second Tour de France participation".
In addition to the thirty-year-old native of Victoria, the Lidl Trek lineup for the French race consists of: Elisa Balsamo, Lucinda Brand, Niamh Fisher-Black, Riejanne Markus, Emma Norsgaard and Shirin van Anrooij.
Yesterday, on the eve of the first stage of the Tour de France Femmes, the Winspace Orange Seal team also communicated a change to their lineup: the French Professional team replaced Aurela Nerlo, second at the Omloop Nieuwsblad 2025, with 23-year-old Marie-Morgane le Deunff. On their social media accounts, the team wrote: "Our Polish cyclist withdraws for personal reasons, giving our Breton cyclist the opportunity to participate in her second Grande Boucle".
