A&V PRODIR, BUON BILANCIO IN FRANCIA

Una vittoria avrebbe reso tutto perfetto, ma quanto visto sulle Alpi Isère rappresenta già di per se un risultato grandioso per Amore & Vita - Prodir. Innanzi tutto c’è da ricordare che la corsa a tappe francese sarebbe potuta andare anche meglio se non fosse stato per la caduta di Colin Stussi nella terza frazione. Il corridore elvetico aveva ottenuto un ottimo 5° posto nella tappa di apertura (la più impegnativa insieme all’ultima), un 12° nella seconda ed era saldamente al 4° posto nella generale ed a soli 4” dalla leadership. Con molta probabilità, considerate le sue ottime condizioni atletiche, avrebbe potuto giocarsi il successo della classifica generale, ma una brutta caduta in discesa quando mancavano meno di 10 km al traguardo della 3° tappa e con la selezione ormai fatta, lo ha costretto ad un forzato ritiro. Un vero peccato, perché Stussi sta pedalando davvero forte ultimamente e avrebbe anche potuto aggiudicarsi questa corsa a tappe. All’inizio sembrava addirittura che la rotula di Stussi fosse fratturata. Fortunatamente però, e c’è proprio da sottolinearlo in questa caso, dato che la stagione in corso non è stata parca di infortuni (vedi i brutti k.o di Ficara e Banushi, entrambi out con diverse fratture a carico), gli esami medici hanno scongiurato il peggio. Solo uno stop di qualche giorno per recuperare dal colpo e permettere all’ematoma di riassorbirsi e poi di nuovo in sella, puntando direttamente ai prossimi appuntamenti in programma a breve in USA.

GABBURO, UNA BELLA CONFERMA L’atleta veronese, campione toscano nel 2017 tra i dilettanti, ha dimostrato di valere, e tanto! Sempre a disposizione della squadra e delle direttive dei suoi D.S. , Gabburo, ha dato prova di grande carattere, caparbietà e cuore. E’ un atleta estremamente intelligente e serio, dotato di grande talento e scaltrezza. Sa interpretare benissimo la corsa grazie ad una visione quasi perfetta di essa. Ed in questo Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour ha dato prova di essere un ottimo punto di riferimento per il D.S. Francesco Frassi, andando a sfiorare il successo nell’ultima tappa – 3° alle spalle del francese Yssaad della Caja Rural e dell’estone Lauk – dopo aver ottenuto un 15° ed un 9° posto nelle precedenti frazioni.

TROSINO E BERNARDINETTI Altre due pedine essenziali in casa A&V – Prodir. Due atleti finalmente in netta crescita che hanno lavorato per il team con grande impegno interpretando in modo esemplare i tatticismi dettati dal D.S. Bernardinetti, tra l’altro, è stato assoluto protagonista di giornata nella seconda tappa, con una fuga entusiasmante terminata purtroppo soltanto sotto la bandierina rossa dell’ultimo chilometro.

IN SVIZZERA COMANDA FREULER Mentre Gabburo otteneva il 3° posto in Francia, lo stesso risultavo veniva colto anche in Svizzera dal nipote del “Grande Urs”. Jan-Andrè Freuler sta anch’egli crescendo moltissimo gara dopo gara. Già una vittoria per lui quest’anno, ottenuta nell’Enfer du Chablois. Il tutto arricchito da un secondo posto, due terzi ed un quarto. Risultati importanti che lo pongono saldamente al comando della Coppa di Svizzera. Una speciale classifica a cui il team tiene molto specialmente in onore degli sponsor principali (Svizzeri) PRODIR e PREMEC del Sig. Giorgio Pagani.

PROSSIMI OBBIETTIVI USA E ALBANIA adesso ci saranno due settimane di stop per prepararsi al meglio ai prossimi appuntamenti fissati a fine mese, ovvero il Tour of Albania e soprattutto Winston Salem negli Stati Uniti.

Amazing performances by Gabburo and Stussi at the Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour in France, while Freuler remains leader of the Swiss Cup. Only the victory was missing

MISSION ALMOST COMPLETED A victory would have made everything really perfect, but what we have seen in the Alps Isère was already in itself a great result for Team Amore & Vita - Prodir.

First of all, it should be remembered that the French stage race could have finished even better if only Colin Stussi hadn’t crashed in the final kilometers of the third stage. Actually, the Swiss rider had obtained an excellent 5th place in the opening stage (the most challenging along with the final one), then a 12th in the second, and he was firmly in 4th place overall with a gap of only 4 seconds from the leadership, and considering his excellent athletic condition, he could have probably fought for the win of the general classification. However, a terrific crash during the descent of stage 3, at less than 10 km to go and with the race selection already made, forced him to an abandon. A real pity, because Stussi is riding really fast lately and could have even been the winner of this hard stage race.

Right after the crash Stussi’s conditions appeared really serious. It even seemed that Stussi's knee was fractured. But fortunately - and it’s so important to underline it in this case (given that the current season was pretty full of injuries) - the medical exams have averted the worst. Only a stop of a few days to recover from the hit and allow the hematoma to reabsorb and then back in the saddle, pointing directly to the upcoming events scheduled shortly in the USA.

GABBURO, AN STUNNING COMFIRMATION The 2017 former Tuscan champion, has proven to be worth! Gabburo has shown great character. He is an extremely intelligent and serious athlete, gifted of pure talent and big hart. He can manage the race very well thanks to an almost perfect vision of it. And in this Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour has proved to be an excellent point of reference for the sports Director Francesco Frassi, by going so close to the victory in the final stage (he arrived 3rd behind the French sprinter Yssaad of team Caja Rural and Estonian Lauk). Need to be noticed also the other results obtained in the previous stages, that was a 15th in the second and a 9th place in the third.

TROSINO E BERNARDINETTI Two other essential pieces in the A & V - Prodir squad. Two athletes who finally seem in sharp growth, who worked for the team with great effort, interpreting in an exemplary way the tactics drawn by the Sports director. Bernardinetti, among other things, was absolute protagonist of the day in the second stage, with an exciting break-away, unfortunately ended only under the red flag of the last kilometer.

FREULER RULES IN SWITZERLAND While Gabburo obtained the 3rd place in France, the same result was caught also in Switzerland by Jan-Andre Freuler.

Freuler is also growing a lot race after race, he already got a victory this year (in the Enfer du Chablois). All enriched by a second place, two thirds and a fourth. Important results that put him firmly in command of the Swiss Cup. A special classification to which the team holds especially in honor of the main sponsors (Swiss) PRODIR and PREMEC of Mr. Giorgio Pagani.

NEXT CHALLENGES IN USA AND ALBANIA Now there will be two weeks of stop to prepare for the next appointments set at the end of the month. The first will be the Tour of Albania and after that the team will fly to USA for taking part at one of the most important races of the mid-season, Winston Salem in North Carolina.
