GIRO DEL COLORADO. Tappa e maglia a Levy Leipheimer

Era il grande favorito della vigilia e il 38 enne americano Levy Leipheimer non si è fatto attendere. Quarta vittoria stagionale per lui e maglia di leader del Giro del Colorado, grazie ad una progressione eccezionale all'ultimo chilometro tutto in salita si è levato di ruota Cadel Evans ed è arrivato tutto solo sul traguardo della prima tappa (Salida-Crested Butte (159,9 km). Alle spalle del corridore della RadioShack Sergio Luis Henao, Frank Schleck, Cadel Evans e Christian VandeVelde.
