Buona prova per Levy Leipheimer che chiude la sua fatica facendo registrare il settimo tempo a 8" dal vincitore. Buona, buonissima la prova del trionfatore del Tour Cadel Evans che a dispetto di chi diceva che qui in Colorado ci sarebbe venuto solo ad onor di firma, ha chiuso con il nono tempo, anche lui a 8" dal primo. Migliore degli italiani Daniel Oss che ha chiuso con il 32° tempo, a 26" da Gretsch.
