Some days ago, the local police in Santander had to use their full strength to repel the brutal attacks suffered while escorting an armored convoy moving a valuable load. According to witnesses, and after cutting the convoy's way, several attackers opened fire with semi-automatic weapons. The police pulled out their guns to respond the attack. Up to the moment, there's no official version for the happening, and no other data has been filtered either, since the case is running through secrecy, even though other asked sources have confirmed the facts will be cleared up on full details on next Sunday, January 10th, at 18.30 in Hoznayo.
What's told here would perfectly fit into a story of the assault to an armored convoy in the streets of Santander, but it's in truth what was recorded into a short film produced by Civitas Imagium for the official presentation being run by pro cycling team FOOTON-SERVETTO-FUJI 2010, to be held on Sunday in Cantabrian soil. The short is led by renowned actor Pablo Puyol (in this moment, playing the lead role at the successful Spanish musical Los 40 Principales -with hits from the famous musical list from the "40" station- in the Rialto hall in Madrid), and had a special, guest appearance by vice-world rally champion Dani Sordo. Civitas Imagium is now going through post-production phase for a long film, whose full infos can be found on www.queremoshacerunapeli.com.
The presentation of FOOTON-SERVETTO-FUJI will be held next Sunday at 18.30 in the Hotel Villa Pasiega, in the Cantabrian village of Hoznayo, where the new UCI ProTour team's outfit will be finally unveiled, as well as the full 24-rider roster -with the only miss by Australian Johnnie Walker, taking part in his open road champs on Sunday-, youthful and international, with an average age slightly over 24 and eight nations present at the list. The team will make its debut next Sunday in a double spotlight: the heat and passion of the South Australian fans in the Tour Down Under (the first stop of the UCI ProTour calendar in 2010) will preceed Nothern Argentina's plains, with the running of the Tour de San Luis.
