MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort is becoming an increasingly ambitious team, as demonstrated by team manager Antonio Bevilacqua working behind the scenes for the 2027 season. Beyond the confirmations already secured from various riders in recent weeks, the rumor relayed by Ciro Scognamiglio of La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that the Hungarian formation is close to signing Davide Formolo for next year as well.
Info @Gazzetta_it - Davide Formolo @davideformolo is very likely to remain in the bunch also in 2027: according to our sources after three seasons in @Movistar_Team he is very close to sign with MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort @cycling_podcast

Coming off a rather unfortunate season that began only in April due to a domestic accident that forced him to undergo surgery to repair a painful Achilles tendon injury, the thirty-four-year-old from Negrar would be ready to leave the World Tour and Movistar (his home for the last three seasons) to join the Hungarian ProTeam project, which with his addition would further elevate the number of team members and the overall quality of the roster.
Should the transfer of the 2019 Italian champion indeed materialize, MBH Bank would have 26 riders for the coming year (four more than those with which it started 2026) and could count on three elements long admired in the top category such as Lorenzo Rota (a fixture for the last six seasons at Intermarché then Lotto), Samuele Battistella (since 2020 divided between NTT, Astana and EF) and, of course, the aforementioned Formolo.
They will be joined by solid profiles such as Luca Covili (leaving Bardiani), Kamiel Bonneu (Belgian climber who has relaunched himself at Solution Tech NIPPO Rali) and young Filippo D'Aiuto, promoted after his recent experience as a stagiaire, further strengthening Gábor Deák's team. The squad has already achieved three important victories this year: the Trofeo Alcide De Gasperi and stages at the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali and the Giro d'Abruzzo.
"At MBH Bank I found a serene environment that helped me work at my best. With this jersey I have already raced for five days at the Trans-Himalaya, four stages at the Tour du Limousin and six at the CRO Race," said the twenty-four-year-old from Monfalcone after signing. "I am very motivated and in 2027 I hope to be immediately successful and I hope to improve further. I have two years ahead to work in peace. The objectives? To confirm myself and manage to win something. I am a classics rider for non-selective races: hard races yes, but not mountain stages."
It is almost unnecessary to say that with the addition of an experienced rider like Formolo, D'Aiuto and all the team's young prospects could benefit from valuable advice and a significant internal point of reference to make another leap in quality and build even more solid foundations for their careers.
