Seven new signings have been added to the World Tour roster of Groupama-FDJ for 2027. Following the promotions of Remi Daumas and Victor Loulergue and the signings of Emilien Jeanniere, Alexandre Delettre, Giovanni Lonardi and Ludovico Crescioli, the French team has announced the arrival of Sandy Dujardin, bringing the total number of additions for the upcoming season to over six.
Growing up as a fan of Sandy Casar, the twenty-nine-year-old from Mont-Saint-Aignan will return to racing next year in his new team's colors after completing the lengthy rehabilitation he was forced to undergo following surgery on his iliac artery, which became necessary last summer to resolve some issues that had been troubling him since the beginning of 2026.
Sidelined from mid-August onwards, the winner of the Maryland Cycling Classic 2025 and a stage at the Tour du Rwanda a year ago will therefore seek redemption from January onwards when, both in support of the various team leaders he will race alongside and by taking on the responsibility of delivering results himself, he will attempt from the start to repay the confidence that the French team has placed in him by signing him to a two-year contract.
It is quite likely, in particular, that Dujardin (whose dream remains to win a stage at the Tour de France) will be given the freedom to race his own race in the many hilly classics that characterize the French calendar (and beyond), races in which he has already demonstrated in the past that he can be competitive and achieve satisfying results.
With his signing, Groupama has therefore secured another valuable asset to approach one-day races suited to puncheurs with ambition and, beyond that, has essentially closed its roster for the upcoming season given that, with 29 athletes already under contract for 2027, it now has only one remaining spot to fill.
