Nicolò Garibbo takes center stage in the second stage of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Regional Tour, the Martignacco–Ravascletto route of 152 km, with a powerful move that turns the race and the standings upside down. The Ligurian rider from Team UKYO delivered the decisive attack at 2,500 meters from the finish line, dropping his breakaway companion Juan Diego Quintero (Netcompaty Ineos Racing Academy), who crossed the line in second place.
Completing the triumph of the Japanese team led by Alberto Volpi and Manuele Boaro was the third-place finish of Simone Raccani, who rounds out a podium entirely marked by Team UKYO. Behind them came Bicelli, Dati, and Zumsteg.
Garibbo now wears the yellow jersey as leader of the general classification, confirming his excellent form. Tomorrow the race continues with the third stage, Latisana–Tarcento, 154 km, another crucial moment for the standings.
