A champion with a big heart has decided to step up to help another great champion: Lorena Wiebes has put her yellow jersey and green jersey from the Tour de France Femmes up for auction to raise funds for Anna Kolyzhuk.

Anna is the Ukrainian track cyclist who suffered a serious accident during a race in Fiorenzuola and who, after undergoing surgery for a severe spinal injury, is now facing an intensive rehabilitation process.

As we reported in recent days, Anna has launched a fundraising campaign to cover the substantial medical and logistical expenses ahead of her, and Lorena Wiebes, the world's strongest sprinter, has decided to put the symbols of her extraordinary Tour de France at her disposal—namely the yellow jersey worn after her victory in the first stage and the green jersey proudly worn from the first to the last day.
