The mountain weekend that closes the second week of racing brings the Tour de France to the Jura Mountains and offers a stage with a truly thrilling finale. But let's take things in order: today's schedule features the 15th stage from Champagnole to Plateau de Solaison, covering 183.9 km with 3,950 meters of elevation gain.

This is a stage where riders cannot hide, a stage where the general classification favorites will be called upon to attack, defend, and battle it out.

The climbing will begin after approximately thirty kilometers with the Côte des Rousses, cresting at km 36.8, a third-category climb measuring 6.6 km at 5.1% gradient. Then long stretches of ups and downs where a breakaway will presumably develop, leading to a truly exciting finale. First comes the climb to La Salève via the Col de la Croisette, a categorized climb at km 136, a first-category ascent measuring just 4.7 km but at an 11.2% average gradient. And finally, the reckoning at Plateau de Solaison, a true springboard to glory. The final climb is a Hors Categorie, measuring 11.3 km at 9% average gradient: it's the same climb tackled in early June during the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the climb that once again consecrated Isaac Del Toro, who returns today in a different role but with the ambition of still being a protagonist.
