Competitions awarding national time trial titles continue around the world. Below is a roundup of today's results.
GREAT BRITAIN. Ethan Hayter's first seasonal victory of 2026 comes in the national time trial championship. The Soudal Quick-Step rider completed the 38-kilometre course in 44 minutes and 10 seconds. Behind him, 1'30" back, was Connor Swift of Netcompany INEOS. Taking bronze, 1'40" down, was Josh Charlton of the INEOS Grenadiers development team. For Hayter, today marks his fourth national time trial title. In the U23 race, victory went to Ben Wiggins, the 21-year-old son of Sir Bradley. Fresh from the Giro Next Gen, the Hagens Berman Jayco rider completed the 25-kilometre course in 29 minutes and 02 seconds, beating Henry Hobbs – younger brother of Noah – of Visma Lease a Bike Devo by 1'19". Third, 1'22" back from the winner, was fellow rider with famous heritage Finlay Tarling, who races for the NSN development team.
FRANCE. Cavagna makes it three. The 30-year-old from Clermont-Ferrand, riding for Groupama - FDJ United, pedalled at over 48 km/h along the 29-kilometre course and finished in 36 minutes and 54 seconds. Also on the podium was Bruno Armirail of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, second 49" back, and Ewen Costiou, the winner's teammate, third with a deficit of 1'03".
SWITZERLAND. Just 6" separated new Swiss national time trial champion Jan Christen from second-placed Stefan Bissegger. The young UAE Team Emirates rider covered the 32 kilometres in 43 minutes and 29 seconds. Third, 15" back, was Yannis Voisard.
SPAIN. After 30.8 kilometres of the time trial held in Sabinánigo, Pablo Castrillo celebrates. The Movistar rider returns to victory after nearly two years, posting a time of 37'40". Also on the podium were Xabier Mikel Azparren of Pinarello Q36.5 and Pablo Torres of UAE Team Emirates - XRG, finishing second 4" back and third 7" back respectively.
CANADA. Derek Gee West (Lidl Trek) claims the Canadian time trial championship, completing the 34-kilometre course in 40 minutes and 23 seconds. Also on the podium were Nickolas Zukowsky (Pinarello Q36.5) and Pier André Côté (NSN Cycling Team).
IRELAND. Eighth national time trial title for Ryan Mullen (NSN Cycling Team) who pedalled 30 kilometres at an average speed of 52 km/h, stopping the clock at 35 minutes and 08 seconds. Completing the podium were George Peden (Team PB Performance) 47" back and Darren Rafferty (EF Education – EasyPost), third with a deficit of 1'15".
NORWAY. National title for Tobias Foss (Netcompany INEOS) who won by pedalling the 21-kilometre course in 25 minutes and 47 seconds, 23" ahead of Andreas Leknessund (Uno-X Mobility) and 38" ahead of Kasper Haugland (Decathlon CMA CGM), who recently competed at the Giro Next Gen.
POLAND. Michał Kwiatkowski returns to victory. The 36-year-old Netcompany INEOS rider won the Polish time trial championship with a time of 49 minutes and 02 seconds, completing the 39-kilometre course 1'04" faster than Filip Maciejuk (Movistar Team) and 1'12" ahead of Piotr Pękala (ATT Investment).
LUXEMBOURG. As happened in 2023, Alex Kirsch (Cofidis) wears the national champion's jersey after winning the 21-kilometre race in 25 minutes and 37 seconds. 6" behind came Arthur Kluckers (Tudor) while Mats Wenzel (Equipo Kern Pharma) finished 44" down on the winner.
CZECH REPUBLIC. Lidl Trek celebrates Mathias Vacek's third national time trial title after he pedalled the 48 kilometres in 54 minutes and 32 seconds, 1'43" ahead of Jakub Otruba (Caja Rural - Seguros RGA). Third, 3'15" back, was Petr Kelemen (Tudor Pro Cycling Team).
SLOVAKIA. Second Slovak time trial title for 26-year-old Lukáš Kubiš (Unibet Rose Rockets) with a time of 56 minutes and 05 seconds over the 48-kilometre course. Martin Svrček (Soudal Quick-Step), the runner-up, finished 1'50" behind the winner while Dávid Kaško (Dukla Banska Bystrica) completed the podium with a deficit of 3'04".
UKRAINE. Heorhii Antonenko was crowned national time trial champion, beating Semen Simon and Vitaliy Gryniv.
CHINA. Ming Xue, the 26-year-old riding for Li Ning Star, claimed his fourth national time trial title, completing the 34-kilometre course in 41 minutes and 21 seconds. Silver medal went to Haoyu Su of XDS Astana who finished just 1" behind the winner, while third place went to Houwang Cao, 57" back.
BRAZIL. At 37 years old, Henrique da Silva Avancini claims the national time trial championship, stopping the clock at 34 minutes and 40 seconds over the 27-kilometre distance. Behind the winner were João Pedro Rossi and Gabriel Sousa Silva, his teammates at Localiza Meoo / Swift Pro Cycling.
