Just days before the official start of the Giro d'Italia, scheduled from Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 31, Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber has finalized its roster. For the Italian team, this marks the 44th participation in the Giro d'Italia, confirming the team's historic presence in the pink race.
The eight selected athletes are: Filippo Magli, Martin Marcellusi, Luca Paletti, Vicente Rojas, Manuele Tarozzi, Nikita Tsvetkov, Filippo Turconi and Enrico Zanoncello.
Here are the statements from general manager Bruno Reverberi: "The Giro d'Italia is always an important appointment for us. We're bringing a young team, eager to make their mark. We'll try to be present in breakaways and seize opportunities, especially in the more open stages. We're going to the Giro to chase a stage victory. We have riders on the rise and cyclists who already know the race: we'll need to be smart in exploiting every situation."
The roster combines experienced riders and young talents on the rise. Among the most anticipated is Chilean Vicente Rojas, 2026 national road champion, a title he won in March, ready to stand out in the more open stages.
The spotlight is also on Martin Marcellusi, competing in his fourth Giro d'Italia, a protagonist in this early season with second place at the Roue Tourangelle and fifth in the general classification of the Région Pays de la Loire Tour. In last year's Giro d'Italia, he secured sixth place at Sestriere in the penultimate stage.
Making his Giro d'Italia debut is young Modenese rider Luca Paletti, born in 2004, who grew up in the team's youth development program and has already shown promise with fourth place in the third stage of the Tour of the Alps and seventh at the 2026 Giro dell'Appennino.
Also making his debut is Filippo Turconi, a Varese native who also came through the team's youth academy, winner in 2025 of the Giro del Medio Brenta and the Trofeo Piva.
Also competing is Manuele Tarozzi, among the most combative riders from last year's edition, winner of the Red Bull KM classification at the 2025 Giro d'Italia thanks to over 500 kilometers spent in breakaways.
There's also room for young Uzbek talent Nikita Tsvetkov, born in 2005, already a protagonist this season: third in the fifth stage of the Tour of Turkey, winner of both the stage and the general classification at GP Fergana, and third again in the final stage of the Tour of Antalya.
For sprint finishes, the team can count on Enrico Zanoncello, a sprinter from Verona, while Filippo Magli will seek confirmation after the fourth place he achieved in the Cesano Maderno stage in the 2025 edition.
The team will be guided at the Giro d'Italia from the team car by sports directors Roberto Reverberi, Luca Amoriello and Mirko Rossato.
